FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How soon will we get our photo’s and video?

Post production can take from a few days to a few weeks depending on the product you have purchased.

  • How high can you fly?

We are authorised to fly up to 400 feet high. In certain circumstances we are permitted to fly higher, however it isn’t normally necessary due to the nature of our lenses. These allow a wide viewing angle without distorting the image.

  • Are you insured?

    Yes.

Our Insurance is Underwritten by Allianz.

    It is complient with EC785/2004.

  • Do you need to visit the site before our booked appointment?

Sometimes. Usually we can do our risk assessments remotely but occasionally we may need to visit your site in advance.

  • Are drones safe?

Drones are Safe. By using a professional company like Skyshutter  you can be sure safety will never be comprimised.

Full risk assesments are carried out prior to any work and all risks are mitigated where possible. We will never operate recklessly and will always operate to our strict safety procedures.

  • Can you fly anywhere?

The short answer is no, however all work is risk assessed and planned so we will let you know as soon as any restrictions become apparent.

  • How long does set up take?

Once we arrive on site we will have a 'walk through' with you to ensure our plan from the original risk assesment is still valid. Any additional hazards and risks identified can be dealt with there and then. We never rush so assume 1 hour for walk through and set up.

  • How long can drones fly for?

Drone flight time is limited by battery capacity. The average endurance is 15-20 minutes, however pilot concentration may be more limiting in challenging conditions. We normally expect to operate a minimum of 2 flights depending on requirements.

  • How long in between flights?

A few safety checks need to be performed in between flights. We would normally review some footage from each flight to ensure we can re-take any necessry shots. Plan 15 mins in between flights.

  • How stable is footage?

Unbelievably Stable! Our cameras are Gyro Stabalised meaning the stay still 'in space' as the drone moves around it. Even on breezy days our footage will be very stable.

  • What if weather is bad?

We will re book if the weather is not suitable.

  • What information do you need to quote?

We have a guide to pricing  here. The more information you can give us the better. As a minimum we would need post code and a description of the work you require.

  • Is background music licensed?

When we edit and produce video for you all music is licensed. The cost of linsencing depends on where your footage will be broadcast. We usually include website and youtube licenses.

  • Do you offer discounts?

Yes we do. We offer a 15% discount if you book 2 or more packages (ie photos and video).

If you are a property agent we offer a discount for mutiple bookings. Please contact us to see how much you can save.
