School Roof Inspections

Feb 14, 2022

Fast, efficient inspections for those hard to reach places

Skyshutter are often asked to carry out drone roof inspections in schools.

As schools expand over the years, they often end up with multiple buildings with different roof types. Many of these aren't accessible without either very expensive scaffolding or expensive MEWPS (mobile elevated work platforms).

With our latest drones we can provide ultra high definition images and our zoom capability means we can really help you to identify issues that are impossible to see form the ground. What's more, this can be done in a fraction of the time traditionally taken.

Our ability to live stream images when flying means any problem areas can be identified in real time whilst we're still airborne and closer attention can be given.

Typically, in the planning stages, we would divide up the roof into sections. Photographs would then be tagged to those sections and so easily identified.

Close ups are then delivered tagged to the appropriate roof section.

Skyshutter were recently contacted by the estate management team of a Stately Home to help with a leaking roof. The Buckinghamshire property was built in 1909 and there was internal evidence of water ingress. A full roof inspection was needed but access would have been dangerous and difficult without full scaffolding.
